Wipf We have specialized in the development and manufacture of high-barrier packaging laminates made of plastics with aluminium foil or other barrier layers for the food and pharmaceutical industries as well as for non-food products such as construction, agro and household chemicals.
We supply most composite films in reels but we also have a high performance pouching division equipped to produce a wide range of premade bags and pouches.
 
Wipf operates ultramodern, centrally located production facilities near the airports of Zürich and Linz.
 
With 290 staff members, the Flexible Packaging Division of the Wipf Group generates annual sales of 64 million euro.
 



Ungricht was established in 1892 and is today one of the leading suppliers of rollers and their engraving. Today, the fifth generation of this family-run business is seeking a top position worldwide by continuously investing in the future.
 
 
The Ungricht site comprises an area of 60.000 m2 with modern machinery and equipment. The total area for production, warehouses and administration alone amounts to 45.000 m2.
 
Today, Ungricht has 340 employees at its sole site at Mönchengladbach. The roller production consists of the manufacture of the roller body including its construction and engineering, surface treatment and various engraving departments as well as all important aspects of galvanic processes and plasma-ceramic coating.
 
Since 1998 the company has been restructured, future-orientated steps have been undertaken and the company size has been increased with the acquisition of a number of companies.
 


The Institute of Polymer Engineering (Institut für Kunststofftechnik KTP) is working for more than 20 years on the improvement and further development of plastics and rubber processing methods. The Institute is embedded in the Mechanical Engineering department of the University of Paderborn, Germany.
 
The KTP has long-standing experience in the field of processing and testing of plastics and rubber. The research comprises projects focusing on the industrial applicability as well as basic research. Research projects are funded largely by sponsors from the public sector (DFG, AiF, BMBF, EU) and also through joint research projects with industry.
